The Unified Communications Engineering team is looking for Data engineer who is passionate about leveraging technology to derive meaningful insights using data. As a Data Engineer, you are responsible for transforming large, complex data into consumable business databases and applications for self-service analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in Data pipeline engineering using Python, Vector, Logstash, Kafka etc. streaming solutions from our Unified Communications Network.Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Partners with Engineering project Manager to provide consultative direction and develops long term objectives and plans to determine resources, technology, and course of action to achieve results.
Participates in the review of failures and provides feedback to prevent future occurrences.
Build and manage Data pipelines to analyze huge datasets using streaming solution like Kafka, Vector, RabbitMQ etc.
Design, deploy and manage scalable and fault tolerant data infrastructure to perform ETL operations using Python, Airflow, Vector or other transformation tools.
Collaborate with key stake holders and translate business requirements to technical requirements and implement solutions under the guidance of technical leads.
Solves critical issues and shares knowledge such as trends, aggregate, quantity volume regarding specific data sources.
Participate in the implementation of solutions via data architecture, data engineering, or data manipulation within big data systems like Hadoop, Spark, Vector, Kafka, MariaDB, or MongoDB.
Experience with observability solutions for monitoring, alerting, and ad-hoc troubleshooting (Grafana, Alerta, ELK, Splunk, Cloudwatch, Datadog, etc.)
Acts as a liaison between business owners and technical associates to ensure the data collected and processed is both actionable and relevant to the end goals.
Determines appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.
Interacts closely with cross teamwork streams and suggests areas of improvement to development teams to improve operation efficiency.
Responds to customer concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsible for database access requests, data security and governance.
Skillsets:
Strong experience in Python programming especially Pandas & numpy.
A very good understanding of the concepts like aggregation, filtering, parsing, and alerting.
Experience with Observability tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, Logstash/Vector/fluentd etc.
Experience with building data pipelines and experience with ETL tools like airflow is preferred.
Excellent SQL skills are required.
Creative in visualization or creating Dashboards using Tableau, Kibana or Grafana.
Strong fundamentals and experience in Data analytics using python.
Unix/Linux basics & Shell Scripting.
Good to have knowledge of Kafka and integration with logging/observability pipelines
Exposure to java script and ability to build custom charts using D3.js or any other java script libraries is preferred.
Knowledge and experience in Spark/Databricks is preferred.
Good knowledge of git
