Job Title: Veterinary Receptionist

Salary: £11.56 per hour

Location: St Clair Vet Group, Kirkcaldy

Job Type: Permanent, Part-time

Hours: Average 8.5 hours per week

Shifts: 2 days per week – Thursday 14:00- 18:30, Saturday 8:30 – 12:30

An exciting opportunity has opened at St Clair Veterinary Group for an experienced and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our fantastic front-of-house team!

We would like to hear from candidates who are friendly, customer-focused and confident working in a busy environment.

The position will best suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service

Your role and responsibilities 

  • Manage and deal with appointment bookings professionally and efficiently. 

  • Support the business with a range of administrative duties. 

  • Dispensing medication. 

  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and still maintain a high level of customer service and complete all tasks to a high standard. 

  • Show awareness of financial control within the practice. 

  • Be happy to discuss financial issues with clients if needs be 

  • Management of the practice diary to ensure all patients are booked in efficiently. 

  • Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards. 

  • Cleaning the consultation and waiting areas throughout the day. 

  • Serving clients and taking payments, advising customers on products and services. 

  • Banking duties. 

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous Customer facing experience

  • Strong administration and organisation skills

  • Confident using the telephone

  • Reception or Client Care experience

  • Cash handling and till operation

  • IT skills – confident in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook as a minimum.
