The opportunity:
The Leeds based London Market team is solely focused on London Market Claims. The team work closely with the London based claims team and adjusters align to specific lines of business. The team will generally handle higher volume, lower value claims and form a key part of Markel’s Claims Value Proposition.
The Team leader is required to contribute through their own work and, the supervision of other team members, to achieving the targets set in the annual Claims Business Plan and to identify areas of improvement in the team and to provide proactive feedback to the Claims Manager. Further, in order to deliver on our claim’s philosophy, this requires exceptional skills by the Claims Adjusters by developing and maintaining relationships both internally (within the claims team, with the underwriting, outwards reinsurance and actuarial teams) and externally (notably brokers, (re)insureds, co-insurers and service providers).
