About Hetronic

Hetronic, a division of Methode Electronics, Inc., develops and manufacturers wireless safety radio remote controls for machines and equipment, providing both standard and customized solutions. Hetronic employs more than 370 people worldwide in the United States, Malta, Egypt, Italy and Germany.

Responsibilities

• Drives product layout design during the development of new radio remote controls as well as the redesign of existing ones to fulfil customer requirements.

• Translates customer requests into a product CAD schematic and a related bill of materials.

• Develop and document customer, product hardware and customized software specifications.

• Provide technical assistance to customers, manufacturing locations and technical service whenever required.

• Occasional travel to customers or other Hetronic locations for project deployment and/or training.

• All other ancillary duties according to the exigencies of Hetronic.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical or control engineering. Equivalent proven experience in a related product development role will also be considered.

• Solid understanding of electronics and microprocessor technology, control and RF communications technology.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Creative and a self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as CAN and PROFINET to name a few is a plus.

• Proficiency in English.
