Job Description:

We are looking for a Tender & Quotation Specialist – Substation to join our Modular substation Center of competence.

The selected candidate will create, and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company.

Your responsibilities

• Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensure that tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs. 

• Manage the preparation of all tender documentation including financial (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis) and risk review process.

• In accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, ensure that tender process is performed on time and according to established quality procedures. Manage internal and external suppliers to build the bid/quotation.

• Collect and archive documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process. Regularly report the status of the bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools and collects and analyses the reasons for tenders being lost and won.

• Identify potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Prepare and present the tender during Risk Review process in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy.

• Responsible for collecting and organizing all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements.

• Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

• Collaborate with:

- Supply Chain Management to coordinate requests for quotation to subcontractors.

- Technical Product specialist to collect and organize all technical information for the tender

- Capture team to coordinate the internal BU tender responsible

Your Background

• 2 – 3 years of relevant experience as Quotation Specialist;

• Technical background is considered a plus since this profile will work really close with the

• Technical product specialist;

• Fluent English, particularly on technical language;

• Knowledge of tender and quotation tools, such as Salesforce is nice to have;

• Flexibility, team work skills, organized and structured mindset.
