  • Department and Location: Patricia Ritchie Centre, The Mater hospital, North Sydney
  • Salary: 42.02 – 54.21 AUD base per hour.

About The Role:

  • The purpose of the role of a Registered Nurse within Cancer Services, is to ensure the clinical care of patients at the Patricia Ritchie Centre. It is person-centred, and is delivered according to the philosophy, mission and values of St Vincent’s Health Australia.
  • A Registered Nurse within Cancer Services is responsible for ensuring that all patient care delivered, is within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
  • The Chemotherapy Nurse always adheres to policies and procedures of the Mater Hospital and St Vincent’s health Australia (SVHA).

About You:

  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Experience within Oncology and/or Haematology.
  • Competent in the safe administration of antineoplastics or willingness to learn.
  • Sound knowledge of Department of Health Guidelines and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety, Infection Control and their impact on the delivery of care.

About The Mater:

In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.

  • One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals.
  • Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
  • The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
  • Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
