Hybrid System Planning Program Manager

Job Summary
 

  • This role is responsible for managing the program management function to drive planning and execution of new HP’s Hybrid system solution product ( Video/Voice/Headset)
  • Lead and oversee functional program teams, which will be tasked with carrying out all areas of hardware and software development design, testing, and release to production processes for next generation HP products.
     

Responsibilities
 

  • Provide essential leadership to the functional program teams, including identifying and assigning needed development tasks, guiding, and supervising development and testing activities, ensuring best practices are implemented across the organization, and training and mentoring engineers within the program team on new product development processes.
  • Supervise and control the daily activities of functional team to ensure that each development project within the program is fully adhering to HP's standards and guidelines for project governance, methodologies, and monitoring.
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk to ensure successful delivery in a very dynamic environment.
  • Develop and maintain project briefs, timelines, milestones, team structure, project plans, Microsoft project team sites, and various presentations.
  • Facilitate kick-off meetings, business requirements and design workshops, weekly core team meetings, and steering committee meetings.
     

Education & Experience Recommended
 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business Management or equivalent.
  • PMP/PMI certification is preferred. Experiences in multi-nationality cross-functional product development or project/program team management.
  • Typically 12+ years’ experience in product development, project/program management. Experience in Video system solution is highly preferred.
  • Experiences in System Integration (Hardware & Software) is a must.
  • Operations & Supply Chain Management experience or history of delivering products/systems/solutions to consumer or commercial markets is good to have.
     

Knowledge And Skills
 

  • Excellent project/program planning (schedule, resources, budget) and status/result tracking skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of organizational strategy, and successful experience managing all aspects of cross-business unit programs, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Ability to effectively communicate program management architectures, plans, proposals, and results, escalations and negotiate options at senior management levels.
  • Mastery in English and Mandarin with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
