Euronext is a pan-European capital markets group with regulated activities in Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and the United Kingdom, and non-regulated activities in 17 countries across the world.

The Euronext Securities business consists of four Central Securities Depositories (CSDs), located in Portugal, Denmark, Norway, and Italy, providing issuance, custody, and settlement services to the capital markets.

About the Role:

The position will be based in Euronext Securities Porto.

As a Special Projects Officer, you will report directly to the Euronext Securities Porto CEO and play a key role in the coordination and execution of strategic and corporate initiatives.

You will be responsible for planning and supporting a range of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring their on-time delivery in line with specifications and within budget. This includes managing the full project lifecycle, from analysis and business planning to design, implementation, support, and handover.

Projects may include a broad range of corporate and internal initiatives, activities supporting the budget and strategic plan, as well as the production of periodic management reports.

This position offers an interesting, multifaceted, and challenging opportunity for a motivated individual who is a fast learner, capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and support strategic and corporate projects assigned by the CEO.

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial analysis and requirements gathering to execution, delivery, and handover.

  • Contribute to activities supporting the budget, strategic plan, and management reporting.

  • Conduct research and analysis to support business decisions and project planning.

  • Collaborate with internal teams across Euronext Securities to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

  • Produce high-quality documentation and presentations for internal and executive stakeholders.

  • Ensure all initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with Euronext’s standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in Business Management or Finance.

  • 2–3 years of professional experience, preferably in a consultancy firm.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese (both written and oral).

  • Proven ability to perform and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research capabilities.

  • Proactive, independent, and hands-on approach, with the ability to deliver results from inception to completion.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

  • Experience collaborating with international and cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
