JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary of Job:
Are you passionate about working with individuals in substance use recovery?  Do you or a close family member have their own substance use recovery journey?  Centerstone is hiring a Peer Recovery Specialist to work on the new Medication Assisted Treatment grant. Centerstone values the opportunity for clients to work with professionals who have their own recovery history who can provide a more relatable level of support. 
Recovery Specialist:


•    Facilitate group and individual support sessions 
•    Assist the program team in identifying/retaining resources as needed
•    Provide support and resource linkage in the community 
•    Assess client needs and barriers to attending services
•    Refer clients to services as necessary
•    Attends weekly clinical staffing and team meetings 
•    Provide transportation assistance to link clients to services and resources 

Job Qualifications:

Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age per funding requirements.

  • Associates Degree +2 years of relevant experience required Bachelor’s degree preferred. Education/experience equivalency may be considered upon approval.
  • Required Certification/Licensure
  • Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (CPRS) or Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
  • WRAP facilitator with in twelve (12) months of accepting position is preferred.
  • CADC certification or licensure (provisional license accepted) within 2 years of employment
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving history

Pay Range:

$16.50--$23.10
