JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position:             Technical Application Specialist

Division:              Core Diagnostics  

Location:             Lahore

Job Summary:

The Technical Application Specialist is responsible for delivery of customer operator training and coaching in Abbott training facilities and onsite and providing on­ site assay implementation, application support, and application troubleshooting on Abbott Systems.

Major Responsibilities:

• Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements
• Deliver customer operator training in Abbott facilities or on-site
• Perform new instrument and assay implementations through Test of Record
• Perform on-site assay investigation, troubleshooting and operator training and coaching
• Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction score (NPS), service key performance indicators achievement and resolution rates
• Travel extensively within the service area

Education/Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree; preferably BE/ME in Biomedical/Electrical/Mechanical
• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in relevant field 
• Proven track record in a similar position supported by management and customer references
• Successful engagement with customers, specifically lab staff
• Technical expert for product line responsibility
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
• Strong experience in use of analytical tools and software
• Computer expertise including word processing, spread sheet and database management applications
• Strong communications skills both verbal and written
