Your Role
Responsible for managing the Hyderabad Shared Service Center (SSC) ensuring compliance with Invesco’s regulatory & financials reporting requirements. Understands US GAAP and ensures proper accounting treatment of financial transactions. This role supports financial reporting and accounting across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance process for a global organization, leveraging a strong working knowledge of accounting and financial systems, with preferred experience in Oracle.
- Oversee the review of quarterly and annual financial statements, coordinating internal stakeholders and external reviewers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Communicate and interpret financial results, process matters, and evolving accounting guidance to senior management in a clear and actionable manner.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, addressing financial statement and accounting matters to ensure timely resolution and alignment on accounting positions, disclosures, and judgments.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial services in accordance with US GAAP and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of accounting treatments for all finance services delivered by the Hyderabad Shared Services Center (SSC), including but not limited to RTR, CTR, FP&A, PTP, OTC, and Tax.
- Ensure execution of SSC finance operations in line with SLAs, encompassing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, SOX and audit compliance, and ad‑hoc reporting to support accounting inquiries.
- Provide operational leadership to Supervisors, setting priorities and ensuring awareness of critical deadlines, policy updates, and procedural changes.
- Collaborate with global finance teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities and communicate enhancement initiatives to relevant product and process owners.
- Support Global Business Services (GBS) transition initiatives, including migration of additional general ledger services to Hyderabad SSC through transition planning, training material development, SLA creation, and stabilization support.
- Review, provide input, and formally approve finance desktop procedures documented by the Hyderabad SSC team.
- Direct the finance team in executing remediation plans for service‑level gaps identified and approved through the Customer Council.
- Serve as the initial escalation point for operational and process issues, working collaboratively with teams to resolve matters effectively.
- Participate in special projects as required by the Director of Hyderabad SSC & end‑to‑end process leads, including strategic initiatives and systems implementations.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a highly experienced finance management team, fostering professional development and performance excellence.
- Establish and cascade goals aligned with organizational and management priorities, ensuring accountability and execution.
- Demonstrate experience managing and developing mid‑level management personnel within a shared services environment.
- Partner with SSC leadership on talent management, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning.
- Ensure timely completion of performance reviews, annual increment cycles, and approval of employee timesheets.
Experience you bring:
- 13 to 15 years of finance experience, specifically in Close-to-Report, Record to report & Tax process.
- Experience managing the financial & Regulatory reporting process for a global operation.
- Experience with accounting and financial systems, preferably Oracle & FCCS.
- Experience in Close to Report process improvement and application systems implementation; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); understanding of internal control elements; strong problem solving and analytical skills; good interpersonal skills; good written and oral communication skills; highly organized; ability to meet strict deadlines; ability to interview, hire, and train employees; excellent customer service skills; ability to plan, assign, and direct work .
- Extensive expertise in finance process and managing a team of highly experienced of professional team. Experience managing teams of 40–60 members.
Academic requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & commerce is required with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred. Knowledge of Financial Services Industry preferred.
- Certified Public Accountancy or Charted Accountancy Highly Preferred
