Job Summary

As a Data Usage Rights Engine Lead, you will design and enhance data usage frameworks that comply with global privacy regulations while driving both internal and client value. You will collaborate with Legal to refine contract and consent processes, spearhead the selection and implementation of consent management solutions, and continually seek innovative, value-generating use cases. This role demands a balance between ensuring compliance and creatively expanding data usage rights to stay ahead of evolving industry trends.

Roles & Responsibilities

Legal & Contract Collaboration

Partner closely with Legal teams to build and refine data usage contracts and consent mechanisms.

Ensure compliance with relevant privacy regulations and contractual obligations, mitigating data-related risks.

Consent Management Architecture

Oversee the selection, design, and deployment of a scalable consent management platform.

Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration into existing data architectures.

Value-Driven Use Case Identification

Continuously assess new opportunities to leverage data for internal and client-facing solutions.

Collaborate with business units to define, prioritize, and monetize data-related initiatives.

Strategic Innovation & Thought Leadership

Stay current with emerging data usage trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Innovate on data usage rights strategies to maximize value while maintaining strict compliance.

Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement

Promote a culture of responsible data usage across the organization, highlighting both compliance and business benefits.

Engage with cross-functional stakeholders—including Legal, IT, Data Governance, and business leaders—to align on data usage goals and roadmaps.

Professional & Technical Skills

Global Privacy & Consent Frameworks

Deep understanding of international privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and various consent frameworks.

Ability to interpret legal requirements and translate them into actionable data usage policies.

Leadership in Complex Data Initiatives

Proven track record of guiding large-scale, compliant data platform implementations.

Experience leading cross-functional teams, driving accountability, and achieving consensus among diverse stakeholders.

Strategic Mindset & Innovation

Demonstrated ability to balance regulatory obligations with innovative data monetization opportunities.

Capable of foreseeing market trends and adjusting strategies to capitalize on emerging data-use scenarios.

Technical & Architectural Proficiency

Familiarity with data architecture principles, enabling informed decisions about consent management technology.

Comfortable working with technical teams to integrate solutions into complex enterprise data environments.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex data usage concepts clearly.

Adept at influencing senior leaders, presenting business cases, and managing change across global teams.

Experience

15+ years in data governance/management, privacy, or related fields

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Information Systems, Data Governance, or a related area
