Your job

The role is shared 50/50 between Accenture (NL) and Avanade (NL/Belgium), with a single contract at Accenture. Both belong to the same group but operate with distinct cultures and client bases.

At Accenture, you are at the centre of deal-making: negotiating and structuring complex commercial agreements across outsourcing, cloud and digital transformation, working alongside account leads, solution architects and finance as a trusted business partner.

At Avanade, the register shifts. You are the primary legal contact for local leadership and business teams, covering the full spectrum: contracts but also every other legal question the business brings your way which the support of SMEs.

Together, the two sides of this role offer the depth of a specialist practice and the breadth of a generalist one — in the same week, sometimes the same day. One week you are deep in a complex outsourcing negotiation at Accenture. The next, you are the person Avanade’s country leadership calls when a commercial question needs a clear answer. The work is varied and you will rarely do the same thing twice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Negotiating and structuring complex client agreements, balancing legal risk with commercial pragmatism

• Advising Accenture and Avanade leadership on legal strategy across the sales and delivery cycle

• Serving as Avanade’s primary legal contact for NL/BE, coordinating with specialist teams (IP, privacy, employment, antitrust)

• Contributing to internal guidelines and knowledge tools that strengthen the wider team

Your team

At Accenture, you join a Dutch Contracting team of 8 part of a 16-strong legal network across Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland). At Avanade, you are embedded in the Gallia team of 4 covering France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Both teams are known for being genuinely collaborative — the kind of place where people pick up the phone for each other. Different cultures, but the same instinct: get the work done, together.

Your background

• Master in Dutch law (knowledge of Belgian law a plus)

• 6+ years in commercial contracting in technology, information technology, GenAI, digital, software, outsourcing or telecoms — in-house or law firm

• Fluent Dutch and English; French a plus

• Experience in Dutch public procurement — a genuine differentiator in this role

Beyond the credentials: you negotiate with conviction, not just caution. You’re equally adept in the boardroom and reviewing contracts.  You know when to hold firm, when to find another way — and you have the curiosity to understand the technology behind the contracts you shape.
