Job Summary
• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SOX Automation Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions that support compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements. This role is essential for improving the efficiency, reliability, and transparency of our internal controls and audit processes.
Responsibilities
• Design, build, and deploy automated tools and scripts that support SOX compliance activities.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand manual SOX processes and identify opportunities for automation.
• Create automated solutions for data extraction, transformation, and reporting for SOX audit evidence.
• Support and maintain existing automation tools and scripts, ensuring their optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automation solutions.
• Ensure all automation solutions are compliant with SOX and relevant industry standards.
• Work closely with compliance, IT, and audit teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align automation efforts with business objectives and SOX compliance needs.
• Provide training and support to internal teams on the use of automation tools.
• Document the development, deployment, and maintenance procedures of automation solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for automation projects.
• Generate and review reports for management to track the effectiveness of automated solutions in meeting SOX requirements.
• Monitor and enhance the performance and functionality of automation tools based on feedback and evolving business requirements.
• Identify and recommend new automation technologies and best practices to improve efficiency.
• Stay current with SOX compliance regulations and best practices to ensure all automation efforts are up-to-date.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, SQL, VBA, or similar.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).
• Knowledge of databases and data extraction techniques.
