THE ROLE
The Talent Management Specialist is responsible for collaborating on the design and development of performance management processes, as well as coaching and guiding team members and managers to enable effective utilization. The incumbent also supports the processes through troubleshooting, training, and developing other tools. The Talent Management Specialist also delivers orientation, onboarding guidance, and other development support to managers and their teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Management Processes:
Demonstrates deep understanding of Workday's performance management forms and processes, providing guidance and support on practical use. Anticipates needs and troubleshoots issues with relevant forms and processes in Workday.
Provides guidance and support to team members in understanding the value of self-evaluations, effectively completing self-evaluations, and preparing for performance discussions.
Coaches and guides managers through meaningful performance reviews and check-ins, including planning for the discussion, documenting feedback, and completing the review process. Enables manager and above visibility into review progress through Workday.
Collaborates with managers to refine role-specific expectations and goals for use within annual performance reviews and ongoing check-ins.
Develops training, how-to guides, and other support content to enable effective self-evaluations, feedback, performance discussions, and other performance management processes.
Partners with leaders to define appropriate feedback uses, questions, and processes and collaborates on developing templates and documentation.
Talent Management and Development Processes:
Collaborates on orientation and onboarding content and delivers orientation to new hires. Defines eLearning content new hires need and collaborates with the Learning & Development Specialist on development.
Conducts talent and competency assessments to identify skills gaps and opportunities. Provides feedback to employees as needed.
Engages with managers in identifying performance gaps and creating targeted development plans. Identifies content areas needed and partners with Learning & Development Specialist to refine content. Develops training, how-to guides, and other support content to enable effective development planning and progress.
Facilitates talent review and succession planning preparation with people managers as appropriate.
Talent Analytics and Process Design:
Analyzes performance and talent processes and data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and informed decisions to improve effectiveness.
Prepares reports and presentations on performance and talent metrics for senior management.
Actively participates in the design of talent and performance management processes and forms in Workday, including the detailed configuration of instructional text and help information.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
3-5 years of relevant experience in performance management, talent management, or a related field.
Experience in developing and implementing performance evaluation systems and talent development programs.
Proficiency in HR software, performance management tools, and talent analytics platforms.
Critical Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
