Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for generating the documentation required for exporting goods, and other administrative support duties.

Here’s what you’ll do: 

  • Generate the documentation required for the exporting of goods, including United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) health certificates, and container shipment documentation. 

  • Enter information from source documents into system(s) as required in a timely and accurate manner. 

  • Maintain, update and correct data in system(s) and resolve routine issues as necessary. 

  • Review and organize records for accuracy and completeness. 

  • Assemble, distribute and maintain department files and records accordingly. 

  • Respond to file requests as necessary. 

  • Provide basic administrative support, which may include copying, typing, preparing and updating documents, etc. 

  • Follow department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. 

  • Distribute and/or deliver incoming and outgoing mail as assigned. 

  • Maintain department office supply inventory. 

  • Order and stock supplies as needed. 

  • Participate in ad hoc project work as assigned. 

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. 

Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • High school diploma or GED. 

  • One year of general office/administrative/customer service experience strongly preferred. 

  • Previous experience in Import/Export operations a plus.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Good data entry, typing, organizational, and attention to detail skills. 

  • Must be able to read documents for data entry, and must be able to file records alphabetically, numerically and chronologically. 

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. 

  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel).

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a typical office environment and is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. Temperatures may vary for those subject to any of the following areas: computer/server room, print shop, production area). The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
