We are looking for an Advanced Development Leader for the Compressor module team in the R&D Center in Prague. The Advanced Development Leader leads advanced development projects for creating new standards, with a Project Team in compliance with approved PAA, and performance objectives (Quality, Cost, Timing, Scope of Application).

YOUR CHALLENGES?

Ensure Advanced Development Project performance

  • Ensure project Objectives are reached

  • Ensure project deliverables are validated on time 

  • Check and validate Project Team Members activities and define timing scenario to achieve milestones 

  • Secure Project resources and control them

  • Solve all project  issues with support of simultaneous engineering functions

  • Ensure that the delivery of standards with a complete package (specification, FMEA, Training, …)

Manage functionally and operationally Project Team with function contributors

  • Define and manage his/her budget 

  • Prepare project reviews for decision making during PMC2

  • Prepare or maintain , and submit PAA and related Risk Analysis  

  • Organize and lead activities of all functional Team Members (Purchasing, R&D, …) 

Support of P1 Teams, during RFQ steps and during development when collaboration is required 

  • Support P1 teams at the customer for presentations of the solutions once IP protection is certified

  • Support P1 projects for proper applications of the standards

  • Synchronise the Project Development to CLEAN milestones, when collaboration with P1 project is required, and ensure that required deliverables are on time (P1 Milestones) at expected maturity level 

Promote Valeo Values, Culture and Standards (Product, Methodology, Tools) within the Project Team he/she is in charge and control their application

  • Respect Valeo Code of ethics

  • Respect health, safety and environment charts and requirements

  • Ensure Project development in compliance with Group Policy, Instructions and procedures

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU…

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field, with solid knowledge of compressor product groups, including applicable product and process standards

  • Background in mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems

  • 3–5 years of experience with compressors, inverters, high-voltage products, on-board chargers (OBC), thermal systems, high-voltage coolant heaters, batteries, or battery system assembly

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively manage cross-functional organizations

  • Good understanding of Valeo Development Policy and methodology, or equivalent development processes in the automotive industry

  • Financial awareness, including product cost structure and return on investment/payback considerations

  • 5–7 years of experience in product development

  • Proven successful experience in project development management (3–5 years)

  • Experience in at least two development functions is highly valued
