Why this role is important?
The Promotional Merchandising Allocations Specialist is the subject expert that works directly with Category Directors/Vendors to ensure all Mass Order Generation’s (MOG’s) are allocated and loaded accurately and in a timely manner.
Each Specialist must develop a strong understanding of the overall Merchandising Strategy and initiatives to increase sale and gross margin profit, by working collaboratively with the category teams and vendors.
The Promotional Merchandising Allocations Specialist role involves Project Management of the MOG cycle that coordinates the efforts of varied stakeholders, in addition to Category teams, including Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations. Once shipped to stores, these MOG’s will influence inventory buying decisions, markdown processing activities and operational execution of product merchandising at the store level.
MOG (Mass Order Generation): Orders automatically generated for stores to support programs developed by the Category Management and Merchandising Teams in order to drive incremental sales and achieve overall planned sales for the year.
