A Day in the Life

Join our dynamic Smart Spaces team within Global IT and help empower Medtronic employees around the world to work and collaborate more effectively onsite. In this exciting opportunity, you will support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of audio visual (AV) technology across over 4,000 conference rooms globally, ensuring seamless communication experiences. This role will work with the IT Program Manager for the EMEA and APAC regions while collaborating closely with the broader Smart Spaces team based in the U.S. The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days in Medtronic’s Prague office, and does not require travel. You will work cross-functionally with facilities teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver best-in-class AV experiences and ensure operational excellence across Medtronic locations.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Configure, test, and remotely support newly installed audio visual solutions including Cisco and Logitech video conferencing systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms and Appspace/BrightSign digital signage
• Provide consultation on system design, device configuration, troubleshooting, and technical aspects of video conferencing and AV systems
• Manage Tier 2 AV support tickets globally, with a focus on the EMEA and APAC regions, including log collection, TAC case management, dispatch coordination, and hardware RMA management
• Partner with local facilities teams to ensure seamless integration of AV technologies into onsite environments Proactively monitor AV systems to identify risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement
• Support regular endpoint upgrades and assist in interpreting data analytics and dashboards.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• 6+ years of hands-on AV experience, including system design, installation, and troubleshooting (high school diploma or equivalent required)
• Strong expertise with Cisco, Logitech, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Appspace, BrightSign or similar platforms
• Comfortable working across global time zones, with flexibility for occasional off-hours support
• Clear, confident communicator — able to explain complex technical ideas to any audience
• Practical knowledge of project management tools and processes
• Creative problem-solver with the ability to work independently and handle technical environments
• Experience with Unified Communications, PowerBI, PowerApps or other data analytics or data automation applications would be a bonus.
