Job Summary
The VTS (Vision Technology Solutions) Application Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation, training, and optimization of workflows. Ensures seamless integration of ZEISS systems into customer workflows, enhances user adoption, and drives customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (Tasks & Deliverables):
1. Customer Training & Support
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, technical support) to ensure smooth device deployment.
- Deliver comprehensive training to customers on the use and benefits of ZEISS VTS solutions.
- Provide ongoing support to address customer inquiries and enhance user adoption.
- Develop user guides, training materials, and FAQs to enhance customer understanding.
2.Demo Application:
- To be able support for demos of VTS devices at customer place
- To maintain records of all VTS demos conducted across India & follow-up for their conversions.
- To be able co-ordinate with sales team for VTS lead generation follow-ups & Closure
3. Workflow Optimization
- Analyze customer workflows and recommend tailored solutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Monitor system usage and provide feedback to customers for continuous improvement.
- Partner with customers to identify opportunities for leveraging additional ZEISS solutions
4. Training Sales Team on VTS Devices
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve the sales team's knowledge of ZEISS VTS (Vision Technology Solutions) devices.
- Focus on enhancing their confidence in delivering an effective sales pitch, including product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
5. Basic Troubleshooting of VTS Devices
- Provide foundational troubleshooting support for VTS devices to ensure smooth operations during customer demonstrations or sales discussions.
- Act as a first point of contact for resolving minor technical issues before escalating to the VTS Service team.
- Assist in bridging communication between the sales and service teams for seamless customer support.
6.Preparing Contracts
- Help draft and finalize bundling contracts with customers, ensuring compliance with ZEISS standards and policies.
- Provide guidance to the sales team on contract terms and conditions to facilitate smooth negotiations
7. Owning Customer Visits at the Experience Center
- Take ownership of customer visits to the ZEISS Experience Center, ensuring a premium and engaging experience.
- Showcase VTS devices effectively, highlighting their value proposition and addressing customer queries.
8. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of training sessions and customer interactions.
- Prepare reports on system performance, customer satisfaction, and key metrics.
- Ensure compliance with ZEISS standards and regulatory requirements

- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in software tools and platforms relevant to application of medical devices
- Collaboration and Teamwork
- Regulatory knowledge of medical devices shall be advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in optometry, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in optical, medical devices, or technology solutions.
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles such as training, technical support, or consulting
