Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Governance & Portfolio Support: Assist in maintaining the technology portfolio by ensuring project data is accurate and aligned with our IT governance framework. Coordinate with IT PMO team on daily tasks.
  • Process Engineering Support: Participate in the analysis of existing operational workflows to identify “friction points” and collaborate on designing more efficient, scalable process improvements.
  • Documentation Management: Create and maintain high-quality process maps, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and PMO templates to ensure team-wide consistency
  • Project Coordination: Act as a Junior Project Coordinator for mid-sized initiatives, helping to track deliverables, manage meeting cadences and document action items. Perform a few site visits, to assist in the above activities 
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate decks and dashboards to provide leadership with visibility into resource allocation and project health.

What we’re looking for:  

  • Organizational Mastery: Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Professional Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for drafting process documentation, maintaining SOPs and communicating with diverse IT stakeholders.
  • Analytical Mindset: An interest in using data (historical or otherwise) to identify operational “friction points” for improvement.
  • Technical Savvy: Quick to learn general software like Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Proficiency in any of the above is an asset.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team-first attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing individual tasks.

What You’ll Learn:  

  • Governance in Action: Gain first-hand experience in how an IT organization uses a governance framework to prioritize multi-million dollar technology investments.
  • Portfolio Management: Understand the big-picture view of how an entire portfolio of IT projects is tracked, reported on and balanced against project constraints.
  • Hands-On Project Coordination: Develop practical skills in project intake, risk/issue tracking (RAID logs) and deliverable management.
  • Process Engineering: Learn to map complex operational workflows and apply lean principles to design more efficient business processes.
  • Corporate Skills: Learn the “marketable skills” for the workplace, including how to run effective meetings and how to communicate efficiently to stakeholders.
