Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Booster IPT Execution Support Program Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

  • Supports the SDS Booster lead in developing and translating the strategic vision into long range plans and short/intermediate-term direction to the Booster organization. 

  • Will act across multiple organizations to drive baseline and execution of subcontracts across the life of the Sentinel Engineering Manufacturing and Design (EMD) phase of the Sentinel Program. 

  • Program cost and schedule execution, to include CAM duties. Measure and report program performance utilizing earned value management and other financial tools.

  • Risk-mitigation planning and execution.

  • Stand up / manage and coordinate program management and technical meetings with SDS personnel and subcontract POCs.  

  • Build and maintain strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including customer counterparts.

  • Working programs, proposals, or internally funded activities in a technical or leadership role.

  • Communicate effectively and clearly to present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews/boards.

  • Maintains / Flow down of Prime Statement of Work (SOW) and Spec Requirements as required ensuring program compliance.  

  • SDRL review and approval, Design action tracking closure and coordination with SDS stakeholders. 

  • Responsible for conveying active issue resolution and management up through AVE and Customer Channels.  

  • Coordination and integration of CCB/ROMB packages from supplier up through AVE and program boards.

  • Leads, facilitates, weekly subcontractor technical and program management meetings.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience, or Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

  • At least 1 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM-related field of study from an accredited university or 4 additional years of experience and 8 years of relevant experience, 6 years with a Masters, and 3 years with a PhD

  • 3 years of technical leadership experience, engineering management, and/or program management experience of high value and visibility projects.

  • 2 years of experience with EVMS principals and application or as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)

  • Risk & Opportunity Management Experience

  • Experience on ICBM or related programs 

  • Experience executing proposals to include both cost and technical.

  • Experience with return-to-green programs, identifying program opportunities

Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
