The P&G Latin America Internship program is offered to promising Latin American undergraduates interested in growing as a business leader by stepping into the shoes of a P&Ger for a minimum of 6 months at our Latin American Headquarters located in Panama City, Panama.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

You will join a renowned company improving lives of billions of consumers. You’ll be welcomed within a large team of Data Scientists with diverse backgrounds and seniorities whereby you will take ownership of an algorithm/model need. Within that network, it will be your job to formulate the problem, apply state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, use P&G’s cloud platforms, and present the results from your algorithms and learn new things to create solutions to real opportunities.

With us you will:

• Mine terabytes of data, develop models and algorithms to derive actionable insights, and then translate those insights into business.
• Partner with business leaders to fully understand the problem, and data engineers to automate & deploy your models into applications providing prescriptions to Sales and Marketing executives - that allow P&G to serve consumers worldwide in a better way.
• Have a deep understanding of Statistics and Machine Learning, Optimization, and other advanced analytical models – and how to apply to real world problems
• Analyze and model on big datasets – translating 1.5TB daily consumer touchpoints and 500 million consumers' behaviors to actionable recommendations.
• Answer business questions and propose solutions for business problems by applying machine learning techniques and algorithms and automatize analysis of consumer information or other deep learning data.
• Discover and invent next-generation analytic capabilities for our category analysts and business partners.
• Own your new creative algorithm-driven applications from design-thinking up to user adoption.
• Team-up with technology partners to translate your innovations into robust, scaled, analytic solutions.

Job Qualifications

We are looking for a student who:

• Is an active undergraduate student in Latin America with 6-24 months left to graduate.
• Has academic background in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• Has knowledge in algorithmic development, deployment, and monitoring practices.
• Is fluent in Python, working with cloud environments, software development best practices.
• Capable of developing Machine Learning and/or optimization models.
• If not located in Panama, can move to Panama until graduation and fully commit to delivering projects that will last at least 6 months.
• Has written and spoken proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Displays strong teamwork, analytical skills, problem solving and an end-goal oriented attitude.
• Is comfortable collaborating with people from different levels, backgrounds and experiences.
• Shows strong passion to continuously learn new things and grow as a professional.
