Essential Responsibilities: 

Contract Negotiation and Management

  • Provides team leadership as first point of contact with all suppliers by negotiating, reviewing, and managing contracts for the procurement of goods, various services, and capital equipment worldwide.
  • Ensure all supplier contracts meet legal and regulatory requirements and align with company policies thru effective negotiations with suppliers and in-house legal teams

Operations Management

  • Manages all production planning, inventory control, purchasing, cost management and productivity activities related to purchased finished goods.
  • Develop, document and implement efficient processes focused on optimizing business operations and targeted at achieving strategic goals
  • Develop and implement a data-management systems that aligns with functional areas and team responsibilities via individual and team metrics regarding health & performance of the organization.
  • Ability to set and achieve goals for team and suppliers based upon continuous improvement projects that provides annual cost savings back to the business.

Strategic Leadership

  • Ability to operate in an environment of change, establish priorities, align team priorities and ensure optimal team performance.
  • Provide strategic leadership within a network of global suppliers focused on optimizing fulfillment, pricing, quality and business process to align with corporate & industry best practices.
  • Create and optimize purchasing strategies to align with corporate objectives; manage to defined budgets, forecasts, policies, service levels, and quality assurance targets.
  • Determine current and future business needs and translate these into global requirements with clear controls, documented process flows, and best-in-class quality standards.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of vendor (goods and services) management, regarding pricing & product costing, metrics, delivery performance and quality management.
  • Develops and manages programs to optimize raw materials flow and inventory turns.
  • Regarded as an industry expert pertaining to ERP skills, understanding, training to best practices and optimization.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience, or 5+ years with a degree and certification in related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, Leadership qualities, project management, team building, managing remote teams.
  • Deep understanding of ERP management systems; Oracle, SAP, Great Plains, Service Now preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier performance management practices and cost management.
  • Proven experience conducting cost-benefit analysis, master service agreements and managing contract manufacturers.
  • Demonstrated team and project leadership.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
