Position Summary
The Project Manager will plan, supervise, and manage multiple large and complex projects. These projects will be performed in collaboration with project team members and stakeholders. This role leads the strategic design, implementation, and oversight of population health initiatives that align with health care quality goals. The manager drives cross-functional collaboration, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes quality improvement through data-driven project execution and stakeholder engagement.
Develop and implement population health strategies that support quality improvement and health plan goals.

Sponsor and champion initiatives across the health plan, including behavioral health programs.

Manage end-to-end project lifecycles including scoping, planning, execution, and evaluation.

Apply project management tools and methodologies to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery.

Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to align population health activities.  

Lead proposal efforts, including project scoping and prioritization and identification of all stakeholders; Determine scope and size of a project and stakeholder requirements for each stage or aspect of the project.

Participate in measurement activities required to report on project effectiveness, value capture, or other outcomes and success measurements, when necessary.

Use data analytics to identify population segments, assess risk, and measure program effectiveness.

Utilize dashboards and reporting tools to monitor outcomes and support continuous improvement.

Effectively communicates relevant project information across the organization, which involves giving presentations to senior leadership.

Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications

  • 3 years in Project Management ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong knowledge of NCQA, CMS, and state-specific standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to deliver high quality solutions and play an integral part of a cohesive team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.
  • Prior managed care experience, especially with Medicaid populations
  • Familiarity with integrated care models and behavioral health programming
  • A strong background in population health is preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,300.00 - $119,340.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
