2025 Summer Internship – Consultant Relations Group (CRG) Analyst, US

Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters

You’re eligible to apply if you:

  • Must be able to begin full time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2026 – August 2026
  • Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2025 semester pursuing an Undergraduate degree (August 2025 – December 2025)
  • Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Are business proficient in English

See yourself as a CRG Analyst:

The Consultant Relations Group plays a crucial role in ensuring that PIMCO's investment strategies are effectively communicated and positioned within the institutional investment landscape through their relationships with investment consultants. As a CRG Analyst, your primary responsibility is to work alongside the Account Managers to deliver the highest level of service to consultants by responding to requests and sending information on the firm and its products. Analysts must exhibit a strong sense of urgency and be able to juggle multiple priorities. The successful CRG Analyst will operate well independently and be proactive and creative about problem solving.

Other responsibilities of a CRG Analyst include:

  • Analyzing performance data, market trends, and investment strategies to provide insights that can be communicated to consultants and clients.
  • Conducting research on investment products, market conditions, and competitor offerings to help inform the group's strategies and presentations.
  • Helping to prepare reports and updates for Account Managers that summarize PIMCO's investment performance, strategy changes, and market outlook.
  • Staying informed about market developments and trends to provide timely insights that can be shared with consultants.
  • Working closely with other teams within PIMCO, such as portfolio management, marketing, and client services, to gather information and ensure a cohesive approach to consultant relations.

In addition to client servicing responsibilities, most members of the group seek to participate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program through the CFA Institute.

You’ll excel as a CRG Analyst if you:

  • Have a strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance
  • Have a client service mind-set and exhibit a strong sense of urgency when responding to requests
  • Possess the ability to gather, analyze and discuss market trends and data
  • Are collaborative, organized, adaptable, accountable and have a strong attention to detail
  • Have strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with team members and consultants, as well as to navigate professional relationships
  • Flourish in a challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Have taken finance/capital markets coursework (recommended)

The PIMCO Internship Experience:

  • The PIMCO Internship Program runs between Monday, June 9 – Friday, August 15th with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.


Hourly Rate: $ 43.27
