The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive support to the Valuation team in the seamless execution of financial reporting activities for Resolution Life Australasia. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career and make a meaningful contribution to our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the delivery of policy liabilities, inputs to Statutory / Life Act reports, and financial condition investigations.
Assist with the delivery of regular profit analysis, including explanation of variance to plan.
Support the delivery of robust financial and risk information, as well as strategic insights to the business.
Maintain and enhance Actuarial valuation processes, focusing on speed, quality, and simplicity, while ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and business-specific changes.
Support the strengthening of risk management and internal controls within the Actuarial function, including the documentation of processes and enhancements.
What You Bring:
Understanding of, or willingness to learn, actuarial principles, standards, processes, and operations.
Strong technical skills with the ability to develop logical solutions to problems.
Proficiency in using models and analysing results.
Ability to apply appropriate principles and techniques in model building, including understanding and conducting relevant User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand actuarial financial reporting, capital standards, and economic valuation practices is advantageous but not required.
Skills in actuarial modelling (including Prophet) and Microsoft Excel are advantageous but not required.
Tertiary qualification in Actuarial Science, Commerce, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
Progress towards an actuarial qualification, or willingness to commence.
