Nurse Administrator – Psychiatry/Behavioral Health – Per Diem – All Shifts
The Nurse Administrator is responsible and accountable for the clinical operations of the Nursing Department on an assigned shift to ensure continuity of patient care. You will collaborate with Patient Care Directors and others in planning and implementing high quality, safe patient care. You will act as a consultant to staff, and is a member of the Nursing Leadership Team. In addition to managing scheduling, staffing and supplies, you will participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of short- and long-range goals. You will also be accountable for monitoring staff compliance with regulatory and hospital requirements.
This position will work all shifts, primarily evenings, nights, occasional days including weekends and holidays at New York Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Behavioral Health Center.
Preferred Criteria
Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Certification
BCLS /ACLS
Required Criteria
3 years of recent progressive leadership experience
Master's in nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree. If currently pursuing a Masters must obtain within 1 year of hire. Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in Nursing
Excellent oral/written communication skills & Computer proficiency
