Summary:

As a member of the Employee Relations Team, the Employee Relations Specialist serves as the first point of contact to respond to employee inquires and leadership requests, by assessing and triaging issues, identifying solutions, and escalating appropriately.

Responsibilities:

Provides administrative support related to the full body of work performed by the Employee Relations Team.Demonstrates and maintains strong knowledge and expertise in company’s policies and procedures.Provides first point of contact resolution on inquiries such as policy interpretation, Human Resources (HR) policies and procedures guidance.Assesses and triages Employee Relations issues.Communicates and collaborates effectively with employees and leaders to understand their concerns.Acts as the first point of contact for employees and leaders on Employee Relations issues.Maintains the Employee Relations shared folder to ensure it is properly organized, access permissions are set correctly, and that the content is regularly updated.

Complexity of Work: This position requires good judgement, to work with minimal supervision, and to work in an emotionally stressful environment while consistently taking appropriate action. Strong knowledge or understanding of HR policies and/or Employment laws. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work between multiple systems simultaneously and effectively prioritize own workload. Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to converse at various levels of the organization across multiple backgrounds and cultures. Good listening and consultation skills. Proficiency in MS Office Tools. A strong eye for details and accuracy. Well-developed critical thinking and decision-making skills along with excellent problem-solving abilities. Sound approach and understanding of the importance to maintain sensitive and confidential information. Required Work Experience: One (1) year of demonstrated work experience in HR or similar field.
