Job Summary

The sky is no longer the limit as Nidec takes its technology off the ground and into the Aerospace market. As a Coordinator with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the process of developing and designing electric propulsion systems for the battery-powered aircrafts that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Distribution Center Coordinator to oversee and enhance daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of the warehouse while maintaining accurate inventory records.

In the role of a Distribution Center Coordinator, also referred to as an Inventory Coordinator or Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing orders, overseeing receiving operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, and handling documentation for both domestic and international shipments. Additionally, you will act as a backup for the equipment room technician and work closely with customer service to address any order-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage the shipping and receiving processes

  • Conduct basic math calculations for effective inventory management

  • Coordinate activities within the distribution center to achieve operational objectives

  • Ensure inventory accuracy, confirm returned material authorizations (RMAs), and handle documentation for both domestic and international shipments, while also tracking warehouse performance and serving as backup for the equipment room technician, maintaining record retention for St. Louis

  • Prepare international shipping documentation and liaise with supervisors and management regarding booking, shipment, and scheduling timelines

  • Collaborate with forwarders, customers, and sales teams as needed to ensure timely and accurate order shipments

  • The incumbent must be adept at investigating inventory discrepancies and troubleshooting transactions to optimize inventory control

  • Expected to devise multiple alternatives for office tasks, identify the most effective solutions, and implement them accordingly, while communicating proper procedures and operational systems to associates for consistent outcomes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 3+ years of general office experience.

  • Proficiency in using a calculator, fax machine, copier, computer, Microsoft Office, and computer-networked printers.

  • Knowledge and operational fluency of inventory tracking systems such as AS/400, PRISM, Oracle, and Integration Point is preferred.

  • Associate's degree in Business and/or one or more years of Business School courses or College is preferred.
