The AVP, Business Partner, Corporate is a strategic role responsible for the consolidation and collaboration of the Business partner organization. This role requires a broad understanding of financial performance metrics, reinsurance and investments. This position will be responsible for developing a holistic view of the overall financial health of the consolidated group, driving key financial initiatives, optimizing capital management strategies, and ensuring the interconnectivity of the Business Partnership group. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of reinsurance financials, strong leadership skills, and a track record of managing complex financial strategies and projects. This role will be based in Jersey City, NJ office on a hybrid basis. 

What You Will Do:

  • Financial Leadership: Working with the broader Business Partnership group, provide a holistic view of the consolidated Fortitude group, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. 
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Strategic Planning: Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive growth, profitability and operational efficiency
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual processes and implement financial systems and tools.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, controls, and accounting standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial results and strategic plans to internal stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop finance professionals with the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA, CFA, or other advanced finance qualifications preferred
  • 7+ yrs experience in a financial role within the reinsurance industry.
  • Reinsurance industry practices, investment products, regulatory and accounting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills; proficiency in financial modeling and financial principles.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive long-term financial planning; understands current market dynamics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and mentor and develop finance professionals within the team.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and reporting tools.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.  

Base Salary Range
$145,000$185,000 USD
