Your Opportunity: 

Smithfield’s Workday Integration Analyst is responsible is responsible for designing and maintaining integrations between Workday and other enterprise applications or third-party vendors.

This role requires a deep understanding of Workday's integration tools and methodologies, strong knowledge of business processes, Workday functionality and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The position involves working closely with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensuring that the integrations are efficient, secure, and meet business needs.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand integration needs and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Testing and Validation: Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance testing to ensure integrations meet business requirements and function as expected. Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the testing and implementation phases.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all integrations, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.

  • Project Management: Manage integration projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are of high quality. Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure successful implementation of integrations.

  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for integrations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues. Identify root causes of integration issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

  • Solution Design: Conduct in-depth research to identify and propose technical solutions to challenges, offering guidance and options.  Utilize solutions leveraging Workday technologies such as Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Workday Web Services. Ensure solutions align with best practices and meet business objectives.

  • Compliance and Security: Ensure all integrations comply with company policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards. Monitor and enhance the security of integrations to protect sensitive data.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to provide status updates, gather feedback, and address concerns. Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on new integrations and functionalities. Address user inquiries and issues in a timely manner to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Human Resources, Information Management or other related field and 2+ years' related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with Workday integrations strongly preferred.

  • Certification: Workday Integration certification (preferred but not required).

  • Must have hands-on experience with Workday integrations, including integrations with 3rd party systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, time tracking, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of integration technologies such as XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, and Workday Web Services.

  • Proficiency in Workday Studio, Workday EIB, Workday Cloud Connect, and other integration tools.

  • Advanced/Expert level Excel skills (x-lookup, v-lookup, advanced pivot table techniques, macros, functions, formulas, etc)

  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Aptitude and passion for process improvement and data accuracy.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Foster a productive working environment with near and offshore teams and numerous 3rd party teams.

  • Ability to work across functions.

  • Must have strong presentation skills with the ability to provide, in end-user-friendly terms, ideas and solutions for system-related recommendations.
