Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Principal Business Development Representative to join our Guns Operational Unit’s Business Development team in our Mesa, AZ, office.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

Northrop Grumman is actively seeking a motivated defense/aerospace professional with the demonstrated ability to proactively create, cultivate and enhance relationships with current and potential customers and key contacts in industry and Government to identify, develop, and capture new business opportunities specifically within the C-UAS environment. The responsibilities of the position will balance external customer relationship management activities with internal support of the daily operations of the Guns business development team. The ability to work both independently and within a highly motivated team of business development, program management, financial, and engineering professionals is required. The Business Development Representative role reports directly to the Guns Business Development Director.

The Business Development Representative will:

  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with potential customers and stakeholders within the domestic C-UAS market segment.

  • Team player with an aptitude for technical solutions and problem-solving skillset.

  • Prepare business development capture plans and pursuit briefings in support of new business acquisition.

  • Proactively work with external customers and internal stakeholders across departments and operating units to execute structured and planned business development and capture initiatives.

  • Develop and deliver customer presentations which communicate solutions that address requirements critical to providing Counter-UAS capabilities to the Warfighter.

  • Gather intelligence through customer interaction and market analysis to identify strategic new business opportunities.

  • Develop presentations and white papers that communicate growth strategies and plans to senior management.

  • Coordinate customer visits, internal meetings and web-based conferences in support of new business development.

  • Perform research activities in support of new business development, capture strategy, and proposal development.

  • Maintain the business development CRM database for active domestic C-UAS new business opportunities and pursuits.

Requirements:

  • We are focusing on skills for this position and require 9 years of experience. Will consider a BS Degree and 5 years of experience or a MS and 3 years of experience.

  • Understanding of the US Government market and acquisition processes.

  • 5 years’ experience in Business Development, Marketing, or Program Management.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with CRM tools.

  • Able to travel 25% of the time or more as needed.

  • US citizenship required.

Desired:

  • BS degree in business or technical field.

  • Prior experience with military armaments.

  • Previous military experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
