The Shared Services Center plays a pivotal role in centralizing and standardizing various financial processes, including accounts receivable (AR). As the demand for expertise and leadership in AR operations increases, it has become essential to appoint a Senior AR Accountant to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations.

The establishment of a Senior AR Accountant position is critical for optimizing AR processes within the Shared Services Center. With the growing complexity of transactions and the need for stringent financial controls, there is a clear requirement for an experienced professional to oversee AR functions, provide guidance to the team, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Compiles large amounts owed by the company to vendors or other individuals, or owed to the company by customers or clients, and inputs figures to the accounting system
  • Receives and distributes invoices, verifying accuracy and compliance with organizational policies
  • Enters invoice amounts into the accounting system and processes invoices or large payments
  • Reconciles large amounts received or owed by comparing invoices to POs or other records
  • Responds to inquiries from customers or clients and researches and resolves concerns or large discrepancies
  • Collects missing transportation documents from carriers, i.e., CMR collection
  • Contributes ideas for process improvement based on identified themes and an understanding of the big picture
  • Develops professional relationships with internal and external partners, maintain open lines of communication and build rapport by providing timely and professional service
  • Continues to develop skills and build upon knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and advises Junior Roles on the best available resource’s usage and help solve more complex issues
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Finance operation
  • Site Specific:  Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well within a deadline driven environment
  • Perform functions efficiently and accurately
  • Effective and flexible communication skills
  • Positive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skills with an ability to deal with conflict/sensitive topics
