Position Summary

Mindful Care is excited to extend an invitation to a New York-based, dedicated, self-driven Community Liaison with clinical savvy to join our team. The Community Liaison at Mindful Care is a unique role that sits at the intersection of clinical intake and business development, owning relationships with the medical community to build symbiotic referral relationships and find patients the most optimal care for their needs. This position requires a combination of strategic selling, data reporting and monitoring, marketing acumen, and constant collaboration across departments. This role is perfect for detail-oriented, clinically minded professionals who appreciate the synergy of working alongside bright and driven colleagues. 

Position Responsibilities 

Referral Relations: 

  • Develop, document, and execute a comprehensive targeting, segmenting, and closing strategy focused on acquiring a steady stream of referrals from healthcare professionals. 
  • Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals in your community to foster symbiotic referral pipelines in support of organizational revenue targets. 
  • Build, document, and execute a cohesive events strategy; organizing and attending conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote our services and build relationships.
  • Partner with the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of referrals and service delivery.

Marketing and Promotion: 

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials highlighting our mental health services. 
  • Develop and deliver presentations to medical professionals to educate them on the benefits of referring patients to our organization. 
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and potential areas for expansion. 
  • Analyze data and insights to optimize strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development initiatives. 

Reporting and Insights: 

  • Systematically track and document conversations, visits, events, and referral volume by source week over week. 
  • Document workflows, processes, and observations relating to referral relations. 
  • Proactively source feedback from referral sources to identify and execute on areas for improvement in referral targeting, workflows, and service delivery. 

 Qualifications: 

  • Experience in community relations, business development, discharge planning, or equivalent; preferably in mental health 
  • Clear and compelling spoken, written, and visual communication skills 
  • Data literacy and experience in building tracking and monitoring systems 
  • Proven experience navigating ambiguous environments, operating independently, making decisions based off incomplete information, and driving velocity while juggling shifting priorities 
  • Must have own computer  
  • Must have reliable transportation 
  • LGBTQ+ ally 
  • Bilingual, a plus 

 Schedule: 

  • Full time, variable hours 
  • 2 days in office in Manhattan
  • Field work as needed in and around NYC

Compensation 

  • $40-55 per hour
