Clinical Triage Specialist – Access to Care – Full Time – Days – Midtown

Join NewYork-Presbyterian’s Access to Care team and play a vital role in connecting patients to the care they need. As a Clinical Triage Specialist, you will deliver timely, compassionate clinical triage support to practices served by the NYP Sphere contact center. This is a highly collaborative role working closely with Patient Financial Advisors, contact center leadership, and both clinical and non‑clinical teams across the system.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide therapeutic guidance to patients and conduct thorough phone assessments using established clinical triage protocols
  • Gather essential information to understand each patient’s health concerns and determine next steps
  • Coordinate and book appointments for further evaluation
  • Partner with multiple teams to ensure seamless patient access and an exceptional experience
  • Perform additional related duties as needed

This is a full time, days position located at our corporate office in Midtown Manhattan.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Master’s degree
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Prior experience in healthcare operations
  • Experience with Epic EHR system

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Active New York State Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information in accordance with policy
  • Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to set priorities and work independently
  • Comfort using technology and digital tools to perform daily responsibilities

    Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
