Role Purpose

Mold Design of automotive Exterior TRIMS

Responsibilities/ task

Key Responsibilities with brief description according to priority.

• Design complex, high-precision injection molds (plastic, silicone, rubber) for new products and optimize existing ones Initial Technical Evaluation.
• Design molds for injection-molded automotive exterior parts (e.g., bumpers, fascia, trims).
• Expertise in multi-cavity, hot runner systems, and large mold designs.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using advanced CAD tools (NX,
• Able to review mold flow analysis and integrate findings to optimize cooling, gating, and ejection systems.
• Ensure designs meet OEM specifications, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality requirements
• Support mold trials, troubleshoot design-related issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with product design, Tooling engineering, and supplier teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Proficiency in CAD software (NX).
• Deep understanding of mold making, materials, processes (milling, grinding), and standards.
• Having 7-12 years of experience in Mold Design of key products like Front & Rear Bumpers and other exterior components
• Strong communication skills to analyse and deal with critical events during product development cycle

• Expertise in multi-cavity, hot runner systems, and large mold designs
• Strong knowledge of automotive exterior part requirements, surface finish, and Class-A standards.
• Able to do independently large exterior part tooling feasibility and mold design with effective cooling.
