Position Title: Parking Supervisor
Department: Parking/Security
Reports To: Director of Security/Parking Manager
Classification: Part-time/On-Call/Event based

Compensation: $21.00 an hour


Position Summary: To assist guests of facilities with directions, information and guidance in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner, while fulfilling the specific event requirements as determined by the Parking Manager and the Director Security.


Essential Functions:
* Receive payment of parking fees and making proper change.
* Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
* Balancing cash and unsold parking tickets.
* Answer questions regarding parking procedures and lot regulations.
* Supervises staff assigned to shift and ensures employees on shift are provided breaks and/or meals breaks
* Conducts shift briefings with staff providing necessary information
* Reviews department checklist and accounts for all equipment
* Notifies Manager of necessary employee counseling
* Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees
* Monitor employee compliance of facility rules, regulation policies and procedures, and safety requirements.
* Set-up and replace before and after each Event
* Perform other job-related duties as required.
Experience/Training/Education:
* Knowledge of traffic control and organization
* Cash handling experience
License/Certificate:
California Driver's License
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

Supervisor experience staff of 10-30
Deal diplomatically with the public and fellow employees
Radio skills

Ability to:
* Greet guests in a friendly manner and be professional at all times.
* Stay calm under pressure.
* Make correct change.
* Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Strong Customer Service skills
* Good organization skills
* Ability to effectively supervise staff
* Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
* Ability to work irregular hours including, night shifts, weekends and holidays
* Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Position requires standing for prolonged periods of time. May be subject to adverse conditions: irregular hours will be required. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
