Pharmacy Technician –Evenings

Help our licensed pharmacists provide carefully prepared medications and high-quality care to patients. Advocate for patient safety as part of an empowered team by adhering to stringent standards. Update the patient census using Omnicell pharmacy inventory automation systems. Assist with the training of students, interns and new technicians. Many of our pharmacy techs go on to become licensed pharmacists within our hospital. This position is for evening shift 2:45pm-11:00pm(37.5hrs/wk) with weekends/holidays. The weekends and holidays could be day or evening. During the first two years of employment you maybe required to work every weekend.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience utilizing pharmacy inventory automation systems
• 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital environment IV compounding experience

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma/GED
• Completion of a formalized Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent prior on-the-job experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health career Association (NHA)
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License
