Job Responsibilities
Framework & Governance Oversight
Policy Alignment – Ensure regional countries implement and maintain AML/CFT/CPF/TFS policies that meets both Group and local regulatory expectations.
Stringency Gap Analysis – Conduct reviews to identify requirements of local regulatory requirements against Group standards. Enforce the “Most Stringent Standard” principle, ensuring where local laws exceed Group policy or vice versa, the higher standard of control is applied.
Reporting Standardization – Establish and enforce a unified reporting architecture. Ensure all regional countries utilize standardized templates and data definitions according to Group standards.
Reporting Data Integrity – Validate that the data submitted by regional countries is accurate and consistent, enabling the Group to maintain a clear, consolidated view of regional financial crime risk.
Governance Committees – Participate in all regional countries’ local RCGC/FCGC, Group FCWG, Group FCGC, and RRMC.
Institutional Risk Assessments – Participate in the review of each country’s IRA, and validate that the methodologies are aligned to Group whilst meeting local regulatory requirements.
Monitoring
KRI/KPI Tracking – Monitor KRIs across regional countries to identify emerging trends or systemic weaknesses
Sanctions and Adverse News Management – Act as the primary PIC for the dissemination of Group-wide sanction and adverse news updates, ensuring escalations are handled with appropriate urgency.
Issues – Maintain a centralized regional tracker for all AML/CFT/CPF/TFS related issues. Monitor the progress of findings from Internal/External Audit, Regulators and QA to ensure deficiencies are closed timely.
Job Requirements
Professional Qualifications
Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business, Accounting or Finance
Professional Certification: AICB/ACAMS/ICA Basic or Advanced Certification in AML/CFT
Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in AML/CFT compliance (experience in regional or group level governance role is preferred)
Regulatory regimes: BNM’s AML/CFT/CPF/TFS Policy Document, AMLA 2001
Familiarity with the following regulatory regimes will be highly advantageous:
MAS Notice 626 (Singapore)
HKMA AMLO (Hong Kong)
Vietnam Law on AML (2022)
Cambodia Law on AML/CFT
Skills
Gap analysis proficiency
Stakeholder management
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in MS suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Kenn attitude to learn new skills, positive team player
