Veterinary Technician - Hardin Animal Hospital

The hourly pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience, certifications, licensure, education, and location.

Who We're Looking For 

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience, and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements: 

  • Registered Veterinary Technicians (highly encouraged to apply!)
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital or animal clinic
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting 
  • Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories  
  • Assisting the doctor and other technical staff with surgeries 
  • Blood draws (cephalic and jugular)  
  • Placing IV catheters  
  • Digital radiology, including positioning.  
  • Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing)  
  • Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)  
  • Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue  
  • Excellent client communication/education 
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
