Centrally controlling master data, optimization configuration and automation for our best-in-class transportation management systems is critical to enabling the business to meet customer demand efficiently and effectively.  This team is at the crossroads of operations and technology to optimize transportation shipments for the best cost and service.  To do this, the team manages data, works with operations for improvement, and drives changes and enhancements to system configurations and optimization parameters.

  • Collaborative analytics and project management to improve business operations.
  • Data processing and data quality validation to ensure the best possible data inputs are driving systemic solutions.

You’ll Make an impact through the following job functions:

  • Advanced Analytics: In-depth investigation of key drivers of transportation dynamic optimization and data quality. Work with large, messy, disparate datasets and conduct ad hoc “back of the envelope” analyses to quickly inform critical business decisions. Develop data visualization to monitor and quantify the impact of changes and unique business challenges.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Engage with team members and cross-functional teams on a periodic basis and establish credibility. Analyze stakeholder needs and partner with them to share relevant information. 
  • Data and Data Processing: Leverage data analysis tools to explore and process complex data.  Develop and test hypotheses, uses data to influence strategic work, builds and presents insights.
  • Modeling: Develop and improve upon our methodology with A/B testing for continuous improvement of transportation shipment management.   Execute on exploratory and scenario analysis to shape future changes and product improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seeks to implement ideas for process improvement for the group by leveraging lean manufacturing principles, time studies, and collaborative efforts with operations teams.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if:

  • You have strong exploratory data analysis skills and ability to make analytical, data driven recommendations and solutions
  • You have strong SQL skills and have the experience with languages used to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets (Python etc.,)
  • Work with Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Deploying systems and solutions across operations
  • You have provided end-user support and troubleshooting for Data Quality issues and write Data Quality rules.
  • You have prior experience in the retail or Transportation domains
  • You are comfortable with shifting priorities in fast moving environment

You’ll make an impact by: 

  • Monitoring and track defects opened by clients and provide sound solutions, and document root cause analysis.
  • Drive/conduct meetings with a sense of URGENCY to resolve tickets and been able to articulate answers on a clear concise manner.  
  • Collaborating with data stewards and other teams to gather knowledge articles to be shared with the team.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Option 3: 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
