Description:

Pharmacy Technician – Rotating Shifts (primarily day shift)

Help our licensed investigational pharmacists provide carefully prepared investigational medications and high-quality care to patients enrolled on clinical trials. In this role, you will support the investigational pharmacy in ensuring the proper handling, dispensing, and inventory management of investigational medications. Be part of the pharmacy staff working with the research teams and pharmaceutical companies sponsoring the clinical trials to successfully conduct clinical trials at NYP. Advocate for patient safety as part of an empowered team by adhering to stringent standards and regulations. Assist with the training of students, interns and new technicians. Preferred Criteria:

• Experience with IV and chemotherapy compounding
• Strong proficiency in working with Microsoft Office programs and web-based applications
• Ability to perform detailed and routine functions with accuracy

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma/GED

• PTCB Certification or NHA Certification

• New York State Pharmacy Technician License

• 1- year experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or retail environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
