Job Description:
Essential Job Functions:
Provides direction, support, and guidance to the Training Specialists ensuring that a high level of partnership and engagement with operations on business priorities is maintained daily. Ensures the technical and professional development of Training Specialist. Focuses on supporting the drive of operational efficiencies by consistently partnering with the business, communicating, supporting, and influencing the Training Specialist team.
Responsible to ensure that all training programs are conducted on a timely basis and provides follow up to maintain quality and consistency within the company's training processes; ensures consistency in all development efforts for the Supervisor population.
Prepares and conducts training sessions for exempt and non-exempt Associates. Ensures that all training programs are conducted on a timely basis and provides follow up to maintain quality and consistency within the company's training processes.
Establishes performance expectations and conducts verbal and written evaluations based on expectations with Training Specialists.
Provides coaching, facilitates discussion, and makes recommendations for management team development needs.
Assists L&D Manager with the assessment of training and development needs for the building.
Recommends training development strategies for Training Specialist team.
Works on the floor with new Supervisors to get their perspective of initial progress and training. Provides feedback to immediate Supervisor, AOM and L&D Manager.
Oversees the successful completion of network training projects specifically assigned by the L&D Manager.
Conducts needs assessments, shares findings with L&D manager. Implements DLP with support from the Training Specialists. Supports the Intern Program. Responsible for the onboarding and training of Operational Supervisors in the DC. Accountable for driving the consistency in training programs. Has string partnerships with the Supervisors and AOMs in the building to ensure the training and leadership programs meet the needs of their DC.
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge of training and/or Human resources practices
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
Strong presentation skills
Some knowledge of needs analysis, design, implementation and evaluation skills
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge and skill in training techniques
Proven leadership skills
Knowledge of DC operations and procedures
2 to 4 years of experience in a Training Specialist role, Human Resources role, or Operations Supervisor role
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
