Job Description

Title : Technical Accountant
Location : Hyderabad, India

Summary:  The Technical Accounting Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the process for the preparation of quarterly, annual, and other financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in addition to supporting other SEC and our international statutory filings. The Technical Accounting Analyst will also be responsible for the preparation of share-based compensation related items including supporting the Form 4 filing process. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in either a Big Four accounting firm or working in or closely with the SEC reporting team of a US publicly traded company. This role requires the ability to work independently, communicate effectively across functional teams and strong project management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to the following: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Prepare key external reporting deliverables (e.g., draft disclosures, Non-GAAP reporting reconciliations, Earnings Per Share calculations, supporting schedules).
  • Perform operational accounting activities related to, among others, share-based compensation and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Prepare the US GAAP and SEC Disclosure Checklist.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statement analytics.
  • Perform research and data gathering related to SEC reporting requirements including benchmarking analysis
  • Prepare journal entries as
  • needed and assigned account reconciliations on a periodic basis according to an established close calendar. Follow up with appropriate individuals for any needed corrections and prepare journal entries accordingly.
  • Ability to leverage and use technology effectively, including advanced data analytics techniques and visualization tools for dashboarding.

  • Prepare and maintain schedules and supporting documentation needed for management, internal and external reporting, internal and external auditors, and SOX requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for quarterly reviews/year-end audits with internal, external and recovery auditors.
  • Preparation and audit of local statutory audits.
  • Perform operational accounting activities related to, among others, share-based compensation and mergers & acquisitions.
  • On an as-needed basis, provide support and assistance related to technical accounting projects, including adoption of new accounting standards and the drafting of technical accounting memos.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from three/four-year College or university; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Chartered Accountant qualification                                                                                                                        

CPA certificate preferred.
