Job Summary:

Provides day-to-day technical and administrative support for supply chain management activities.

What You Will Do:

• Assisting in communicating with procurement, material planning, inventory, distribution to minimize cost and improve efficiency.
•Providing technical support and assistance on supply chain management while guiding the team as a team lead, promoting effective collaboration and mentorship.
• Inputting data into supply chain application system; maintaining the system on a regular basis.
• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on supply chain operation.


Degree & Background Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired
  • A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management, Procurement and/or Logistics is highly desired.
  • 6 Sigma project experience
  • Minimum of five to eight years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience
  • Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst desired and / or Manufacturing Engineer required
  • Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process desired

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort.
• Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts.
• Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.
• Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes.

Inventory Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Coordinates daily work of inventory management for different locations within a facility or a supply network.
• Devises standard inventory management benchmarks to improve the processes.
• Ensures that the inventory is at an appropriate level and meets both internal and external requirements.
• Provides guidance on inventory management for a specific product group or location.
• Applies systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolves conflicts.
• Reviews reports used for inventory management to find out related problems.

Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Uses tools, with guidance, to forecast delivery times, determine costs and assess performance.
• Works with logistics in a domestic environment.
• Maintains records of all shipments and invoices using an established system.
• Assists in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity.
• Participates in integrating logistics processes and developing effective networks.

Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Quantifies and evaluates benefits and risks of various supply chain strategies and approaches.
• Participates in joint planning, process design/redesign with clients and partners.
• Monitors the complete supply chain management process.
• Manages supply chain finance activities and measurements of effectiveness.
• Consults on supply chain network design projects or processes.
• Advises others on capacity issues at various points in the supply chain.

Vendor Management: Knowledge of vendor management methodologies, technologies and processes; ability to gain increased value and excellent services from vendors, as well as costs control and risk mitigation throughout the deal life cycle.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Builds and maintains partnerships with multiple and/or large vendors.
• Ensures the fulfilment of report and record-keeping requirements.
• Evaluates issues and terminates vendor relationships as appropriate; works with legal departments.
• Monitors supplier performance; works to resolve discrepancies between performance and agreements.
• Develops quality standards and controls for vendor selection.
• Facilitates supplier partnering arrangements that share risk and reward.
