Introduction to the Job

As a Korea Customs Tax Specialist, you will be part of ASML’s Corporate Tax & Customs Team, a global group of professionals specializing in direct tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, wage tax, and customs. This team operates in an international environment with a presence across Netherlands, Korea, Taiwan and US. Team provides expertise guidance to the business and manages tax/customs risks according to its global strategy.

Key Responsibilities

​Responsible for supporting Korea customs compliance activities, including Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) annual activities, Advance Customs Valuation Arrangement (ACVA) reporting, and audit support. This role ensures accurate data collection, validation, and operational compliance with internal and external requirements.

• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Logistics, Finance) to gather data required for AEO annual activities. Ensure timely follow-up and accurate consolidation of inputs.
• Plan and schedule employee training sessions on AEO requirements. Coordinate with trainers and track attendance and completion.
• Collect and validate data from other teams for ACVA filing and the annual report. Cross-check accuracy against ACVA requirements to ensure compliance with customs valuation standards.
• Generate and organize SAP screenshots as evidence for ACVA reporting. Maintain proper documentation to ensure audit readiness.
• Prepare supporting documentation for customs audits. Organize files systematically for easy access during the audit process.
• Focus on customs compliance and work closely together with colleagues from the regional and global expertise teams and the customs operations team located in the different countries.
• Provide support in providing guidance on ad-hoc inquiries raised by other teams.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 6-8 years of experience in Customs, Finance or Logistics within an international business environment (Work experience in Customs is a plus)
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Korean
• Proficiency in SAP
• Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Other Information

• Employment contract period: Total 12 month

• Location: Dongtan, South Korea (Company shuttle buses are available from Seoul and other key locations to support your commute.)

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
