The Global Internal Audit (GIA) team’s vision is to provide superior, curated internal audit services, protecting the JLL brand and enabling the business to thrive. Senior Audit Associate

We are seeking internal audit professionals to join our growing Gurugram team that will execute fieldwork for business lines across the globe. Candidates should possess knowledge of IIA standards and have experience in executing audit work across all stages of an audit lifecycle Senior Audit Associates apply a disciplined investigative approach to audit engagements while continually building internal audit execution and methodology expertise.

Responsibilities

• Participates in integrated, risk-based operational, compliance, technology, and financial audits and/or projects designed to enhance and protect organizational value and effectively collaborates with a geographically diverse team
• Understands the relationship between business strategies and risks and the effectiveness of associated control activities (e.g., internal control design, risk management and governance) and applies a risk-based approach to achieve audit test objectives
• Executes audit procedures in conformance with GIA quality standards, policies, and procedures to provide assurance and identify risks, issues and/or best practices, with some supervision
• Evaluates business processes for compliance with internal policies and procedures, business goals/priorities, contractual requirements and/or applicable laws and regulations
• Summarizes audit testing results, performs root cause analysis of issues, drafts audit findings and communicates to management, with some supervision
• Evaluates business process data to identify opportunities to achieve audit objectives through the development of audit analytics
• Conducts other audit plan activities, including continuous business monitoring, updates to audit entity-level risk assessments, audit issue tracking and validation of management actions, and escalation of issues to senior/manager
• Uses audit tool (TeamMate) to document audit work contemporaneously when procedures are performed.
• Maintains internal audit competency through ongoing professional development including data literacy skills
• Manages assigned audit activities from simultaneous audit projects for different audit managers or directors, escalates issues or roadblocks appropriately
• Efficiently manage routine client status meetings, audit requests, and other administrative tasks

• Problem Solving – Ability to define, clarify and propose solutions that align to audit methodology
• Attention to Detail- Execution of the task-in-hand with accuracy avoiding needless corrections
• Intellectual Curiosity- Natural desire to learn new things and independently pursue a stronger understanding of the topic
• Personal Courage- Uphold GIA principles of independence and objectivity while identifying when escalation is needed
• Effective Communication (verbal and written)- Ability to communicate to stakeholders the role of internal audit and translate audit terminology into digestible language to aide in business adoption.

Education & Experience

• At least graduate degree, in Accounting, Finance or related business field
• Three to five years of internal audit (or relevant public accounting) experience with global MNCs, with a strong emphasis on the execution of audit testing procedures, and quality work-paper documentation in conformance with internal audit (or relevant) methodology
• Experience with broader capabilities, such as risk assessments and monitoring activities, a plus
• Awareness and exposure to fundamentals of internal audit, risk and controls including the IIA's International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and COSO Internal Control – Integrated Framework Principles and enterprise risk management principles
• Relevant Professional certification (CA, CPA, CIA, CISA) or desire to obtain, is a plus
