Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a level 3 or level 4 Financial Analyst located on site in Clearfield, UT. This position offers a partial teleworking schedule where the candidate will work in the Clearfield office 3 days and week, and work from home the remaining 1-2 days.

The selected candidate will perform analysis of financial performance versus forecasts and identifying variances.  Assists team with development of annual indirect budgets, regular forecasts as well as exploring the underlying drivers of performance variances.  Presents findings to management team.  Develops tools for analysis and reporting. Supports various financial stakeholders in their efforts to maintain financial performance.  May be the financial point of contact for various site and departmental leaders.  Will be heavily involved in preparing annual indirect budgets and overhead rates.  Will lead or assist with various ad hoc financial projects.  Will be very involved in understanding the main levers that drive successful financial performance of the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and communicate recommendations to management in a clear, organized summary

  • Analyze weekly data and provide direction to management to balance risk and cost targets

  • Provide monthly / quarterly reporting and analysis to support business processes

  • Use financial reporting and provide analysis of key metrics to direct management toward areas of improvement or to surface operational issues

  • Responsible for continuous improvement and process efficiencies

  • Perform special projects related to financial and budget analysis

  • Working knowledge and application of accounting principles, scheduling, proposal process, government financial reporting with general knowledge of government contracts, procurement regulations and Earned Value Management a plus

  • Independent self-starter and proactive contributor. Seeks to continually improve business processes and add value

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

This requisition may be filled as either a level 3 Principal Financial Analyst or a level 4 Sr Principal Financial Analyst.

Basic Qualifications for the level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Accounting or Finance experience or a Master’s Degree with 3 years of Accounting or Finance experience

  • PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications for the level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of Accounting or Finance experience or a Master’s Degree with 6 years of Accounting or Finance experience

  • PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Management

  • Experience with budget development, variance analysis, estimates to complete, cost performance reports, and cost schedule status reports in an integrated product team environment is preferred

Salary Range: $76,600.00 - $115,000.00Salary Range 2: $95,000.00 - $142,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
