Mater Hospital are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses on a part time basis to join our dynamic critical care team. We are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients in their most vulnerable moments. This rewarding opportunity will see you join the Mater Hospital in North Sydney as a Registered Nurse (part time) in our Hutchinson Ward (Cardiovascular).

ABOUT UNIT:

  • 20 bedded state of the art cardiovascular unit.
  • Referral centre for rural and remote areas for vascular procedures, cardio thoracic surgery and interventional cardiology.
  • Nurse/patient ratios of 1:4 during day shifts and 1:6 during night shifts.
  • Rotating roster of 12-hour shifts.
  • Cardiac monitoring.
  • Inpatient dialysis treatment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and monitoring patients’ conditions.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive care plans.
  • Administering medications and treatments.
  • Providing emotional support to patients and families.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You are an expert in delivering clinical care with a minimum of 2 years cardiac experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Knowledge of the National Healthcare Standards.
  • Team Player with excellent communication skills.
  • Can-do attitude.
